Horse riding

Horse riding is one of the most popular attractions among visitors to Iceland - a real "must." Two horse rentals operate in Mosfellsbær: at Laxnes farm and at Hindisvík in the stables area. Favourite routes for riders include beautiful scenery on the way from the stables, via Leirvogstunga and Tungufoss, into Mosfellsdalur along the banks of Köldukvísl river. Tröllafoss falls on Leirvogsá river, a protected natural relic, can be reached on horseback.
